Roll Over Beethoven

He would. 

Cohen would do his first really cool trick when I am gone and Steve is home!

I am with Cohen ALL day every day and as soon as I leave for a one hour soccer practice he 

ROLLS OVER.

I wouldn't have believed Steve when he told me once I got home from practice but...

he had proof!

Take 2: He's not too sure about it...

 (I love his little coo right before he rolls, like he realized his body was about to roll and there was nothing he could do to stop it because once his head goes...his body follows. And then his cry once he realizes he is face up when only seconds before he was face down. He's probably thinking, "Whoa, what just happened. One second I was lookin at the ground and the next I was facing UP!" What a cutie. I am just so glad that Steve was there to catch this special moment on video! Thanks Love.)

ps. I must admit, sneaking up and dancing behind someone while they are shopping is A LOT harder than you might think. Give it a try the next time you go out. Its worth the laughs. 

How the Dance Dare went Down:

SO a trip to Broulims to get some Dr Pepper and dish soap 

(two random things I know, but that was seriously what we went for and all we got!) 

turned into quite the adventure.

 I wish I wasn't in my sweats for this video...but that's what happens 

when you do things 

spur the moment like that. 

Well yesterday we tried to do the dance dare again, 

but this time planned. 

Meaning I was at least showered and ready for the day. 

We headed to Walmart. 

It was a flop! 

We could not get anyone! 

It was too busy and too open...

also everyone was shopping in couples or groups 

(which is much harder than dancing behind someone solo). 

So we just got some of my fav...Neapolitan Ice Cream and headed to the library on campus

for another shot at it.

We thought the library would be a perfect place to dance behind people

 as they are so focused on their studies and what not. 

Well...

unfortunately my dance buddy 

Cohen 

fell asleep on the way! 

I could not do it by myself...try as I might it just is not the same without my little Cobear.

 And I couldn't bear waking the cutie up either. 

Thus, we went home. 

So it looks like my first dance dare is going to be the one and only...

and I'm crossing my fingers 

that it will take me 

all the way 

to meet

ENTERED OUR FAMILY OF TWO TO MAKE IT THREE

ENTERED MY LIFE AND FOREVER CHANGED IT... <3

IT IS CRAZY HOW HAVING A BABY INSTANTLY CHANGES EVERYTHING YOU DO

SUDDENLY THE WORLD IS NOT ABOUT YOU ANYMORE

I CANT EAT UNLESS I KNOW MY BABY IS WELL FED

I CANT SLEEP UNLESS I KNOW MY PRECIOUS SON IS DREAMING SWEET DREAMS

I CANT LEAVE UNLESS I KNOW MY LITTLE BABY BOY IS IN THE TENDER HANDS OF HIS DADDY

I AM CONSTANTLY THINKING OF HIM

AND I WOULDN'T CHANGE ANY OF THIS FOR THE WORLD

COHEN IS MY EVERYTHING...

AND he IS TEACHING me SO MUCH EVERY DAY

TENDER MOMENTS:

THE TENDER HUGS HE GIVES ME EVERY TIME I PICK HIM UP...ESPECIALLY AFTER SLEEPING
WHEN HE SMILES AND COOS, LETTING ME KNOW IN HIS TINY WAYS THAT HE LOVES ME
READING OUR TRAIN BOOK TOGETHER EVERY MORNING IN OUR ROCKING CHAIR

SNUGGLING TOGETHER ON THE COUCH AFTER OUR HOUR OF PLAY IN THE MORNING

WATCHING HIM DRIFT AWAY TO HIS LAND OF SWEET DREAMS

SPLASHING AROUND DURING BATH TIME

GOING FOR WALKS AND ENJOYING THE BEAUTIFUL OUTDOORS TOGETHER
DOING TUMMY-TIME TOGETHER
TELLING EACH STORIES AND HOW OUR DAY WENT

DANCING EVERY DAY TOGETHER JUST AFTER 4 WITH ELLEN

SEEING HIM DISCOVER HIS FINGERS AND TOES

WATCHING HIM AS HE LEARNS AND GROWS
